Five O Clock Heroes

I was going to write about Five O'Clock Heroes last single as I liked it a lot and it seemed to fit the whole ‘guilt free pleasures’ element of our site. Indie pop with guitars that makes you smile, but gain’s you no credibility with muso hipsters who attend ATP. Thankfully, their follow up single City of Light is just as good. If you get past the opening 15 seconds, which seem to have no bearing on the actual song, then you are well away with upbeat guitars, hummable chorus and a tune so bouncy (yes, I called it ‘bouncy’) that if you’re listening with headphone’s on I assure you it’ll put a spring in your step.
