Lady Gaga's new song, "Born This Way," has hit the internets. Lots of people are saying it's a dead rip off of Madonna's "Express Yourself," but is it just me or do the vocals in the verses sound an awful lot like "Waterfalls" by TLC? When she is singing lines like "there's nothing wrong with lovin' who you are, she said, because he made you perfect babe" in my head I can hear TLC singing "One day he goes and takes a glimpse in the mirror but he doesn't recognize his own face" or one of the other lines in the song with that exact same tune. Anyway, check it out (and feel free to compare to "Waterfalls" and let me know if you hear it too). It's a decent song, not her best work, but still sure to be the next dance anthem that plays non-stop at gay and straight clubs alike.

Straight-up mash-up rip-off, "Waterfalls" vs. Madonna's "Express Yourself," way more blatant and egregious than the "Alejandro" amalgamation.
But the real crime is that the Gaga songs fail to be superior to the source material.
