My iPod died last night. I'm quite saddened. We had a good 2 years together. Luckily my birthday is coming up soon, so maybe someone (hint hint mom!) will get me one. And if no one does, that will be my birthday present to myself. However, that means about 3 weeks sans iPod and frankly I'm not really sure I could wait that long. 3 weeks of commuting to work with no music? Or walking to the grocery store which is a good 15-20 minute walk? Having to listen to the noisy city? And I'd also have at least one plane ride to suffer through musiclessly. So we'll see how long I can last. I might just break down and buy one. I'm way too dependent on technology...
And now I want your advice. I'm torn between the new iPod touch, which is super fancy and cool and has a huge screen and wi-fi, and the iPod classic, which has literally 10 times the amount of harddrive space for less money (the iPod classic comes in 80 and 160 gigs for $250 and $350 while the iPod touch comes in 8 gigs and 16 gigs for $299 and $399. How messed up is that?). I will probably go with the iPod classic because I need more than 16 gigs of space for my music and with only 16 gigs I definitely wouldn't have room for photos or video, which I would have room for with 80 gigs). Although the wi-fi is tempting. Really tempting. It would be nice to be able to browse the internet almost whenever I wanted - to look up directions or movie times or check my email... But then I'd be like everyone with their Crackberries, which I don't want. Thoughts?
R.I.P. iPod. You will be missed. So will the ridiculous amount of money that I have to spend to buy a new one...

aww poor iPod... :(
Just wanted to drop by and say your blog is by far one of my favorites to read. And I love all the music you put on it.
A question for you: I want to use a song that I have in my iTunes for a presentation but every time I move the presentation to another computer it won't let me play the music (which leave the presentation kind of blah) and I was wondering, since you share music on here, if you knew how to bypass the whole "authenticate this computer" crap.
Let me know.
